2 journal entries in 1 day!?!? (Gaming related)

Fri Sep 18, 2009, 1:58 PM
...And this one is purely about the games I want to get for the Xbox 360, so if this sounds boring to you, stop reading this entry now...

So, let's start...

-Kameo Elements of Power: I've played this game on a friend's 360, and I liked it. It wasn't superb to the area where everybody and their cousin would like it, but it had a nice charm and was made well. And seeing as it's currently going very cheap online, what a perfect game to add to my birthday/christmas list (that way my family don't have to spend too much on me).

-Blue Dragon: I'll say this now, I haven't seen many console RPGs that appealed to me lately. The only one I've really been waiting for is FFXIII (And versus), but then again, fans have been waiting for ages. So when I heard about this game, I had a look at a few trailers. It seems to be a very nice game, nice visuals, decent interaction (By this I mean with the landscape, and I haven't seen much of this in most RPGs) and what looks to be a decent and solid battle system (If there's anyone who's played this, can you give me a more in depth view on this please?).

-Halo 3: Okay, while people say that this game is exaggerated and all, I still love the online play (Played on a friends account). That alone makes me wanna buy this, and plus the fact it's going cheap makes it a instant addition.

-Mass Effect: While I once had the PC version, it just asked for too much memory for me to keep it in there. But I've played it a bit, and it's amazing.

-Banjo Kazooie Nuts and Bolts: If I hadn't seen this in action, I would've kept with my opinion of "It's a disgrace to the Banjo series". In reality, it seems pretty fun, and is good at what it does. While many Banjo fans will probably hate it due to the fact it's much less of the abilities and all that stuff, it's still a good Banjo game. The graphics are brilliant, and the gameplay looks great. It does annoy me a bit that it isn't like the original ones, and I do thing that they could've easily made a whole new story for it, but it still seems like a good game.

-Castle Crashers: This seems to be a nice little downloadable game. 4 players co-op which can also be online, go thrash things. Simple, yet nice and fun. I really like the online co-op aspect of this, it's very interesting and is something that isn't done much.

-Bomberman Live: Another good downloadable game, although some would say that I could play Bomberman Blast on the wii. I actually disagree. From what I've seen, this 360 bomberman has more to offer, like proper customization, and obviously isn't using a friendcode system (seriously, why the hell did nintendo make that?).

-Halo 3 ODST: Basically a prequel to Halo 3, and this time you aren't Master Chief. But from the trailers I've seen, I can tell this will be a good game (Heck, I'm happy for the change of character. Makes for a bit of a change).

-GTA IV Episodes from Liberty City: I've been annoyed that for a good while now the only GTA IV DLC has been for Xbox 360, cause I don't feel like buying the game again on another console just to get some DLC. But it seems that both the DLCs are being released on a stand alone disc, thus I won't need to buy another copy of GTA IV just to play it.

-Conker Live and Reloaded: ...okay, I bet you guys are thinking "What!?!? Majin, that's a xbox game, not a 360 game!" But even then, it works perfectly, including online (Yes, I know I've said this before, but bear with me). I've played the N64 version (And I like it, especially the multiplayer) yet I'm also curious as to how this version play. I know the multiplayer is via classes, like Team Fortress 2, and that instantly makes it interesting. I've read up on this a lot, and from what I've read this game is great, despite being a remake with even more censor than the N64 version. People may say "The old version is better", but seeing as I never had to pay for the old version, I thought "why not?". Both seem to have their goods and bads.

...and yes, that's it. Well, hope I didn't bore you people to death xD.
